There is a HUGE need for spreading the power of ForGIVEness in today's rapidly changing world.
An interfaith peace garden in Northeast Baltimore builds tolerance among religions through annual conversations about forgiveness. At-risk youth forgive others and themselves with the help of drumming and dance.
It's all part of a four-year Maryland Public Television campaign wrapping up this Tuesday to promote love and forgiveness. But participants say the program, part of an effort to build the concepts nationwide, will have a lasting impact.
MPT was one of five stations that worked with the Fetzer Institute, a foundation based in Michigan that "engages with people and organizations to bring the power of love, forgiveness and compassion to the center of individual and community life," said Linda Grdina, an officer with the Fetzer program.

A Prayer for the Water - Dr. Masaru Emoto
Dr. Masaru Emoto, the scientist from Japan who has done all the research and publications about the characteristics of water and how, among other things, water physically responds to emotions, has proposed a prayer for the Gulf situation.
Notice the Ho'oponopono at the end :) Right now, most of us have the predominantly angry emotion when we consider what is happening in the Gulf. And while certainly we are justified in that emotion, we may be of greater assistance to our planet and its life forms, if we sincerely, powerfully and humbly pray the prayer that Dr Emoto, himself, has proposed. "I send the energy of love and gratitude to the water and all the living creatures in the Gulf of Mexico and its surroundings. To the whales, dolphins, pelicans, fish, shellfish, plankton's, corals, algae and all living creatures.....I am sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you."
We are not powerless. We are powerful. Our united energy, speaking this prayer daily...multiple times daily....can literally shift the balance of destruction that is happening. We don't have to know how......we just have to recognize that the power of love is greater than any power active in the Universe today. Please join me in repeating this healing prayer of Dr. Emoto's. I saw news in this morning about oil spill in Gulf of Mexico. In the news, the Japanese TV crew chartered a boat and got the scene where the huge amount of oil was spilled in the gulf of Mexico. They departed from the mouth of Mississippi River and they got the scene after 1 hour. Huge amount of oil is gushing out everyday and the reporter said it is just a matter of time that the oil is reaching the shore.
After the reporter arrived the scene by a boat, she scooped sea water with a cup and she checked what’s inside. Then there was a young fish carcass in the cup. It was only one small scoop but the fish carcass was there. I shuddered to think how many lives are lost by this oil spill in the entire ocean.
Then, when they were on the way back, they encountered dolphins at ocean area where they should have never been seen before. The dolphins were running away from the scene where the oil spilled and they were moving towards the shore. What will happen if oils are surging ahead to the shore. The answer is obvious.
As a water researcher, I have been always thinking why the oils and water cannot be combined. Perhaps scientists can answer this question with using an equation however, it is difficult to understand and I think their answer cannot answer my essential question “Why is that?” So, from a viewpoint of a water messenger, I would like to mention my opinions regarding this question.
“Water is the principal of all things.”
Nobody will deny this word which was said by Thales, the Greek Philosopher in 2500 BC. All things were created by blueprint of creator in water and we can say that water should be able to combine with all things. In another word, water likes everything.
However, water cannot combine with oils, meaning water dislike oils. Maybe, it is not appropriate to use the word “like” or “dislike” because water does not have emotions. The noble role of water is to maintain and protect life phenomenon in great nature so water can refuse to things to disturb its role.
There is another phenomenon that water does not appreciate. It is a gap issue on energy. Water does not discriminate anything and go with the spirit of conciliation and peaceful co-existence. If there is a situation of unbalance of energy happened, water is warning us by becoming Tsunami, Hurricane or earthquake.
By the way, why oil products are giving human bodies bad effect even though Oils are products of nature which originally stayed in underground. My answer is like this.
I think oils are liquefied organism which was accumulated in the underground since this earth created and any organism contains spirits of our ancestor or animals.
I think all the living organism which have not been able to ride on Noah’s Ark when Atlantis and Mu were vanished, were lost in the underground and they have became a part of petrol. So, my idea is that petrol oil has Hado of much fear and grudge and they affect human bodies negatively.
Of course it is an idea without scientific proof and I am ready to receive any criticism on this.
Recently the birth of alternative energy which can be replaced by oils have been announced in Japan. It is actually energy extracted from water which demonstrated my idea to extract energies from water that I have been telling for 20 years. It is the technology to extract safe energy called oxy-hydrogen gas from water. You can see the technology from the following video.
Oils are necessary for human beings but if you think about ecological view point, it is not favorable. That is what most of people think but because there are not really other alternative energy sources not many people pointed objections to that. However, finally we have the technology to get an
alternative energy that can be replaced by oils.
“Water is a mirror of our mind” that is what I was taught by water and it is now important to support this technology to be used everywhere in daily life.
I believe lot of people who involved fishery industries in Mexico Gulf are suffering now but as for economic issues, U.S government and other countries will support them and give an utmost response to it. Important thing is that we learn from this mistake and make sure this type of things will never happen in the future and protect nature environment thus we have to take this technology to get energy from water very seriously. I really hope this technology will be available and used for everybody as soon as possible.
Now let’s give energy of love and gratitude to all the living creatures in Mexico Gulf by praying like this.

It happens so fast. Home from a freshman college Thanksgiving break. Upstairs in your bedroom getting primped for the big holiday family get-together. Being called down to the family dinner table. Coming down the stairs. WHAM. Uncle - father figure from earliest childhood - grabs you, pushes you against the wall, sticks his tongue down your throat. Smiles at you, and we proceed to the family dinner table where Mom, Aunt, Brother, and cousins are all waiting and smiling. Time to stuff your mouth with holiday meal.
Denial is big on the menu at family gatherings in this alcoholic family, so nothing gets said. Now or never...Never Never Land ... well not for 40 some years - if that. Maybe. In that one quick moment, trust is lost, confidence violated, self-image shattered of this young girl just setting out on the world.
Scenario Two: Coming in with a friend from a get-together. Friend says he will escort you home. That sounds like a good safety measure late at night. You open the door of your apartment complex. In the lobby, he slams you against the wall, unzips his pants, and in about 50 seconds sprays all over you while pinning you against the wall. His mouth is pressed tight on yours, so you couldn't scream or make noise - even if you wanted to. Who would believe you if you said anything anyhow? So you bottle it up inside you... where it seeps through your self-image and memories like a toxic slow-acting poison.
All-too-common Scenario Three: Grandpa is babysitting the kids. 10 and 12 year old girls. Dad comes home early to find Grandpa lying in bed with one, unclothed, rubbing himself against your 12 year-old daughter, with her nightgown up over her head. How long has this been going on? What horror has been done to her psyche that she doesn't tell - even if asked. Don't ask - can't tell.
Who would think there was even anything to ask in this prosperous upper middle class family?
Forty years later, the hate in Dad is still palpable.... spewing out in road rage at every stop sign where other driver's don't move fast enough. Spewing out in rude disruptive behavior.
Scenario Four: Prominent house-guest comes out of bedroom late at night into living room, where woman of the house is sitting alone reading a book. Something strange. He only has on a jock strap. He walks up to the woman, smiles, slithers down next to her, and slips his hands inside her nightgown and begins to fondle her. She is immobile with shock. He is a father figure, mentor, and highly regarded public personage.
He leads her by the hand into the guest bedroom, undresses her and ejaculates all over her while she is numb and semi-paralyzed with shock. All happens so quickly before she collects her wits.
It takes time to evolve a strategy to get out of his clutches. The few friends she confides in cannot believe a man of his prominence would do such things.... so she learns to be silent.
Or be suspected and condemned in the vicious world of gossip in this religious circle for "leading him on". The level of violation of trust is incalculable.
What is the backlog of toxic sludge that has built up on the planet and in each one of us from these and other violating encounters of the closest kind? All the toxic sludge is not in the ocean.
How do individuals deal with the warped and corrupted emotions and memories that stick like tar balls onto the surface of our soul - polluting our self-image, ideas, and spilling over into our actions? Poisoning our words, memories, energy.
In my travels throughout the world, I have often been guided to special places of mystery, where communication of a higher kind is easier. At one such place in Peru, I was shown a short and quick breathing and visualization that can help to release and dissolve the old stains on our souls, hearts and minds and memory banks. Some wonderful ethereal beings showed me this and I want to share it with you.
I have called these beings "Angels" for want of a better description.
Here is a little breathing and imaging exercise to help release old memories that you do not want to have anymore.
Simply imagine a cloud of golden particles over your head. As you breathe in, imagine the golden cloud entering into the top of your head. Imagine, feel, see, or simply wish for the golden particles to come into the top of your head.... like shimmering golden dust.
In the next few breaths, imagine the golden particles sliding down inside you.... first to the forehead, then the neck, then inside the chest, and then into your heart. Finally, let the golden particles flow all around inside you.
Breathe like this several rounds of breath. You can breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Ask these etheric beings of light - whom I have dubbed "The Angels of ForGIVEness" - to help you release and be freed from the old memories and thought patterns - the impressions and dents of old actions that were violations of personal sanctity.
Be making this request, you give permission for these higher power beings to literally pull the energetic threads out of you. - literally untying you from the chains of imprisonment within your psyche.
You can do this quick and easy imaging as often as you like.
I do - at stoplights, while driving when someone cuts me off, while memories arise while washing dishes, taking a walk, etc.
This simple and quick meditation does not excuse or justify the outrageous and inappropriate violations of others. It DOES allow you to clean the toxic sludge out of your mind, body, spirit, and energy, so that you can move forward freed of all that old gunk.
Older and wiser, as we like to say.
